Hey y’all!
July was a jam-packed month for me! I started working “on the line” July 12. “On the line” is flight attendant lingo for working on the aircraft (as opposed to being in training, being on reserve, or taking a leave of absence, etc.). In a short 3 weeks time, I racked up some pretty cool stats! I worked 17 flights, I flew through 9 cities, I spent over 86 hours in the air and I enjoyed 5 different layovers. Which leads me to the award…
Cincinnati is my very first Layover of the Month!
I spent about 33 hours in this town of 300,000 nestled on the Ohio River. Here’s a few things I enjoyed about the city.
The food was AMAZING! I stayed downtown and treated myself to a delicious brunch from Maplewood Kitchen and Bar. My power bowl had rice, arugula, green beans, beets, cherry tomatoes, corn, avocado, and poached eggs! @maplewoodcincy is a MUST for anyone passing through Cincinnati.
I was lucky enough to be in town for the annual Cincy Soul Festival. I indulged my inner foodie and worked my way up and down the row of food trucks in between dance breaks with other festival go-ers in Fountain Square. (There’s a few videos on my Instagram highlights – look for “Ohio” @beyondutah)
The sunset was just the cherry on top. Cincinnati showed me a great time and next time I’m in there, I want to explore other parts of the city and attend a Brave’s game!! Have you been to Cincinnati? What are some other must do things?
Sending you all my best wishes from 30,000 feet,
– Paul
